CIAZER-1 is a tablet containing Alprazolam 1 mg conforming to Indian Pharmacopoeia (I.P.) standards, manufactured by Admera Labs. Alprazolam belongs to the benzodiazepine class of medicines — one of the most widely used anxiolytic agents for managing anxiety and panic disorders.

CIAZER-1 works by enhancing the activity of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) — the brain’s primary inhibitory neurotransmitter — which suppresses excessive and abnormal nerve cell activity, producing a calming and anxiolytic effect.

Note: Alprazolam is not recommended for mild, everyday anxiety linked to normal life stresses. It is indicated for moderate to severe anxiety and panic disorders where symptoms significantly impair daily functioning. ⚖️ Dosage & Administration

💡 Administration Tips

Take exactly as prescribed — do not increase dose without medical guidance.
Can be taken with or without food. Taking with food may reduce the chance of stomach upset.
Never stop abruptly — always taper dose gradually under medical supervision to avoid withdrawal.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

⚠ Key Safety Warnings

High dependence potential: Alprazolam has significant potential for physical and psychological dependence. Use only at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration.
Never stop abruptly: Sudden discontinuation can cause life-threatening withdrawal seizures. Always taper gradually under medical supervision.
Alcohol & opioids: Combining with alcohol, opioids, or other CNS depressants greatly increases the risk of respiratory depression, coma, and death.
Driving & machinery: Impairs alertness, reaction time, and coordination — do not drive or operate machinery until effects are known.
CYP3A4 interactions: Ketoconazole and itraconazole are contraindicated — they significantly increase alprazolam plasma levels and toxicity risk.

Do NOT use CIAZER-1 if you have:

⛔ Known hypersensitivity to alprazolam or other benzodiazepines

⛔ Acute narrow-angle glaucoma

⛔ Severe respiratory insufficiency or sleep apnoea

⛔ Currently taking ketoconazole or itraconazole

⛔ Severe hepatic impairment

⛔ History of drug or alcohol dependence

⛔ Pregnancy — risk of neonatal withdrawal and floppy infant syndrome

⛔ Breastfeeding — alprazolam passes into breast milk

Key Drug Interactions

Ketoconazole / Itraconazole (contraindicated), Erythromycin, Fluconazole, Nefazodone, Fluvoxamine (increase alprazolam levels — use with caution); Rifampicin / Carbamazepine (reduce alprazolam effect)
